What This Means For You
The National Disability Insurance Scheme provides funding for supports that help Australians with disability live more independently. Under the Assistive Technology support category, participants can use their NDIS plan to purchase specialist furniture — including rise-to-stand chairs, pressure care seating, profiling beds, and bariatric solutions.
As an officially registered provider, Trinitee Healthcare can work with all participant plan types — self-managed, plan-managed, and agency-managed. Our team collaborates directly with OTs, support coordinators, and plan managers to make the process as seamless as possible.
01 — Eligible Products

Motorised lift recliner chairs that assist participants from seated to standing — reducing fall risk and supporting independence.

Custom-specified chairs engineered for postural support, pressure redistribution, and long-duration comfort in care environments.

Pressure-redistributing seat cushions, overlays, and purpose-built seating to prevent pressure injuries for high-risk participants.

Electrically height-adjustable and profile-adjustable beds to support repositioning, transfer, and carer access.

Reinforced chairs, beds and tables built to higher weight capacities, ensuring dignity and safe support for bariatric participants.

Height-adjustable over-bed tables and bedside storage purpose-built for ease of access and clinical-grade durability.
02 — The Process
01
An Occupational Therapist assesses your needs and recommends the appropriate assistive technology. For items over $1,500 a written AT report is required — we can help connect you with a local OT.
02
Our team works with you and your OT or support coordinator to identify the right pieces from our range. We provide detailed product specifications and compliance documentation.
03
We issue a formal NDIS-compliant quote. Your plan manager, support coordinator, or the NDIA reviews and approves the purchase against your funded support category.
04
Once approved, we manufacture and deliver your furniture. Our Melbourne-based team handles installation and ensures everything meets your exact requirements.
03 — Plan Management
Supported
You manage your own NDIS funds. You can purchase directly from Trinitee and claim reimbursement via the myplace portal.

Your plan manager handles invoicing. We invoice them directly — simple and straightforward for all parties.
